Rowing Scholarships

We understand how difficult it can be to balance your studies and high-level participation in rowing, so we adopt a flexible approach to help you succeed academically and fulfil your sporting potential. Our University boat club focuses on developing sculling to support athletes that are competing in GB trials for selection towards international competitions, as well as representing Reading University Boat Club in University and national competitions. Up to £4000 can be awarded to individuals who are likely to be selected for RUBC’s top boats aiming for BUCS medals.

How to apply

Scholarships are awarded on an annual basis and can be renewed each academic year subject to satisfactory sporting achievements, academic progress and general conduct. The scholar will be assessed at the end of each year and will need to reapply for an award.

All applications must be submitted by 31st August.
