4th March - Sadly we’ve had to CANCEL the 2026 Head of the River. Even though the weather is much improved there was just too much rain in February and the river speed remains fast and the conditions are red boards.
3rd March - Due to river flow speeds persisting above 100 (well above the 70 racing limit) and widespread Red Boards, we may be forced to cancel Saturday’s event, but we aim to refund the majority of entry fees should a cancellation occur.
26 Feb - the river is currently too fast for racing, but it’s slowing and the weather forecast is favourable, so we’re planning that the race will be on!
